Challenge

  • Develop sustainable packaging with minimal film waste for button cells
  • Packaging that optimally meets child safety requirements
  • The new machine should deliver higher performance than the previous machine

Solution

  • Combination of the blister machines KBS-KF and KBS-PL
  • Development of a complete solution from packaging design and packaging technology for optimal utilization of the machine format
  • Each button cell is placed in an individual blister and sealed so that the battery is completely enclosed. The individual blisters can only be opened with the help of scissors, making them childproof
  • The packaging consists of 80% recycled PET and 90% recycled cardboard

Due to the good cooperation on numerous projects and KOCH’s experience with our products, we chose KOCH again. The company delivered a coherent overall concept at a good price-performance ratio, which covers the most uniform packaging possible while accommodating a high variety of products.
